Saturday Workshop Of Patterns
This Saturday I was asked to run a workshop for children on creating patterns like the ones I design for my portraits. I set up the tables with wild flowers from my garden, for the children to look at and draw and paint. I then asked them to simplify the flower drawing to create a template they can then use to draw around and repeat. Latest Anglesey Seascape
I always like the really bold drips and lines, so my next painting will be more abstract to emphasise these aspects of the painting. A dynamic quick motion, not unlike the sea. It's challenging to do but when it works I love the results.
