The Seal Woman

I am at the point where I can start my new project The Seal Woman. I had the idea many months ago and I can now finally make a start! It is going to be a series of portraits, landscapes and varied images illustrating the story of The Seal woman, a tale from Celtic and Norse folklore of a seal woman (selkie) who's seal coat is stolen and she is forced to live as a human for years. A haunting tale of coercive control and the wonder of the sea. Below is my first idea inspired by my finds whilst walking on the beach.
